The staff were friendly, rooms were clean and the stairs were tidy. I had to request extra towels and toilet paper.

The staff were absolutely wonderful—friendly and incredibly helpful. I arrived late at night, hungry, and although there were no nearby restaurants or shops, the gentleman at reception kindly prepared a sandwich in their kitchen. The location is very good, close to attractions yet away from the hustle and bustle of city life. I cannot comment on the dining area or the food because I never saw it. If it weren’t for the lovely staff, my review could have been worse. I booked a single room with a private shower/bathroom, but the room had a single bed, dresser, and single wardrobe, yet no hangers. The room was small, had cracks on the walls, and the bedcovers and sheets, while not dirty, had stains that were a bit off‑putting. The bed was very uncomfortable. The main problem was that the private shower/bathroom was not in the room, not even on the same floor, but a flight of stairs up on another corridor. You had a key to lock and unlock it. If you needed the toilet at night, as I did, you had to dress, leave your room, lock it, climb the stairs to the upper floor, walk along a corridor, unlock the door, turn on the light (the switch is in the corridor, not in the room), lock yourself in with the key, and then reverse the process when finished. The shower had no curtain, the sink was tiny—more like a drinks station—and the toilet had brown stains.

Check‑in was easy, there was a parking space, and overall good value for money.
