“We were grateful for a reasonably priced option in this location, but it's seriously sketchy.”
The location was excellent, just a short walk to downtown Charleston and Shem Creek for great dining, and close to a grocery store, drugstore, and other conveniences. There was plenty of parking and the air conditioner worked great. The room overlooked a cute pond in the back. Some staff were kind, but most seemed indifferent. The rooms smelled musty and were not serviced unless we specifically requested it. There was a lot of strange activity in the parking lot at night, which was noisy. The in-room safe cost extra, and neither safe actually worked (we had two rooms). The beds didn’t have blankets until we asked the service area for one.
