The staff were friendly, especially Jenn. However, when we checked in, the property manager treated us with disrespect, making us feel like we were “trailer trash.” He was rude and angry, and we felt he was not customer‑oriented. We had been coming for two years without issues, but his first‑time impression ruined it. He was not a people person. We wanted to rent a boat, but they said we had to go through Dallas, so we didn’t. The crew he has working for him made us feel comfortable, and that was the only reason we stayed.

Our kids had a totally different experience – they loved it. At the end you have to wash all the dishes and collect the trash, and don’t forget insect repellent. I strongly suggest spending a night there for the one‑of‑a‑kind feeling of sleeping on a houseboat.

Adorable, pristine houseboat on a lovely lake. Everything was immaculate and the mattress was very comfortable. Staff goes above and beyond. Lovely pool on the property, and if you want to take out a boat or kayak, it’s all right here. Absolutely loved our stay 😁
