The food was fantastic and the location couldn't be better, plus the staff were genuinely friendly. The only downside was the price – it felt way too high and I wish a few short tours were included for what you pay.

Everything was spot‑on – the cuisine ranks among the best I've tasted in Costa Rica, the setting feels like a little slice of heaven and there’s plenty to do. The staff are warm and it’s always a pleasure to chat with the owners. After three trips here, we consider it a must‑visit.

We spent three nights at Playa Nicuesa Rainforest Lodge with our three kids (12, 9 and 7) and it was unforgettable – the team, especially Oscar and Steven, were incredibly kind and even taught the kids how to make cocktails. The lodge sits right in the jungle, offering easy family walks and spectacular excursions like dolphin‑spotting in Golfo Dulce and wildlife tours in Piedras Blancas where we saw monkeys, birds and crocodiles.

Our room perched on the edge of the jungle gave a special atmosphere we loved, and doing yoga with David on the sea‑side deck was absolutely wonderful. No complaints at all.
