The hospitality was wonderful and the breakfast delicious. The terrace view is definitely the best part of the room. Adding to all that was the friendly dog Leo. The distance to the city is less than a 10‑minute walk along the tracks. The owners are happy to ensure a pleasant stay with their hospitality or by drawing a map to the center. For a next visit we will definitely choose this place again.

The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, explaining how to get around and arranging a tuk‑tuk for us—what a wonderful person. The room offered an amazing view and a nice balcony to spend time on. The room and bathroom were clean. The breakfasts were very good and filling, and there’s also a fantastic dog. The room is a bit cramped, making it hard to unpack suitcases, but I know the owners plan to expand the rooms, so it will be great then.

The family is super nice and very helpful. They showed us exactly where everything is on the map and offered help right away. Breakfast was also very tasty, local, and plentiful. The location is outside the city, but you’re in 15 minutes (over the tracks) to the city. The tracks are 2 minutes away, so basically next to it. We were 80 % of the time on the tracks for everything—so good location. All in all we had a nice stay. A small minus point might be the Wi‑Fi; we didn’t always have stable internet, but it was okay.

Nice host family, beautiful view from the bed, there is hot water (not a given in Sri Lanka) and a mosquito net, which was very important to us. Breakfast is plentiful and the times can be flexibly arranged with the host. Hiking trails and the city are well reachable via the tracks. We watched the sunrise from the balcony. The value for money is spot on.
