“Excellent in Yining”

It feels like a newer property built for the modern traveler. The room was set up perfectly, with an excellent bathroom, fantastic shower and toilet, a very comfortable bed, good lighting, a refrigerator, etc. We also had a separate lounge room, which was great, as was the Wi‑Fi. The breakfast room on the 9th floor was utilitarian but perfectly suitable. Their buffet offering was very, very wide and mostly enjoyable. Most of it was Chinese food, but it was excellent. They even had a good little mini‑gym next door. In terms of location, you’re away from the main tourist sites and the old town, which is about a 15‑minute taxi ride, but that’s not a big deal. On the day we checked in we had a slightly clunky experience (being foreigners), but it worked out okay. Perhaps just one of those things. Plus there are a good number of restaurants and convenience stores around the hotel as well. All in all, this was a great stay.

The rooms were very clean and cozy, the bed was fantastic, all amenities were present, the bathroom and shower were excellent so you don’t need to bring a hair dryer, shampoo, or anything, the toothbrushes were great, and the robe was very soft and comfortable; everything was perfect, just wish there were more English‑speaking staff.

Overall good. Across from the hotel is a park, and a shopping mall is nearby. It was inconvenient to apply makeup because the mirror was far and the lighting was awkward. The hotel staff didn’t call a taxi to the airport; we were sent outside to catch one ourselves, which felt odd.

“dirty”

The place was a total letdown - the room was dirty and reeked of smoke. Not exactly what I'm looking for in a hotel.
