“Okay in cooler months, basic accommodation, friendly host and great food in an excellent location”

Philippe was genuinely kind and welcoming, even though he spoke little English; he cooked great food and made us feel relaxed. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was clean but basic—no towels or toilet roll. The mountain view was amazing and nighttime was super quiet. The bungalow, called “tent with walls,” was so hot that I sweated all night, got a bit dehydrated, and couldn't sleep well, so we left a day early because the heat was over 40 °C and there was no ventilation. My partner also saw a scorpion in the bathroom, which scared me a little.

The terrace was nice. We might have come at a bad time because the owner told us the workers weren’t there, but that doesn’t excuse how we were treated when we arrived and during the one night we stayed. We arrived before check‑in hoping to drop off our luggage and head to Paradise Valley, but the host was very annoyed. He only spoke French, and even though we tried to communicate, he got upset because we didn’t understand him. We were planning to see the place and maybe extend our stay, but we left in a hurry. The heat in the bungalows was unbearable, so we slept on the terrace. The location is not 100 m from Paradise Valley; we had to go back and forth by hitchhiking. The breakfast we paid for separately was scanty and lacked any care.

“Bon rapport qualité prix.”

Philippe welcomed us very well at the cottage, the location was great near the swimming spots in the valley, the terrace offered an exceptional view, and it was quiet (only we were there). The small pool was clean and pleasant, and the heat was nice. The bungalow had no fan and was very hot, so we slept on the terrace. The shower flow was weak.
