Everything was great: the location was right in the market square, biscuits and chocolate bars with a tea tray, a fridge in the room, and a private entrance. Nothing to note.

The location was great, right in the centre, and it wasn’t noisy at all. The room was spacious, clean, and the bed was extra large and comfortable. The best part was the food served in the pub—reasonable prices and the best parmo I had. Nothing I didn’t like.

The location was perfect, right in the heart of Knaresborough. A kettle with tea, coffee, and milk in a fridge, plus chocolate biscuits left for you, was a nice touch. The bed was extra large. The facilities felt old‑fashioned; the shower needed an upgrade because the power shower was weak, the shower head was tiny and barely washed my hair after rinsing, and the bed cushions smelled old. We stayed for two nights and the staff never checked in to see if we needed anything replenished. I didn’t use any shower gel because it said there was some in the room; it was a thimble full for two of us over two nights, so I had to buy more.

The bed was large and comfy, and the room and bathroom were spotless. The only downside was the view of the rear of the hotel.

I stayed in a charming little room on the top floor of the inn, and the beer delivery never woke me up. The room is on the smaller side but comes with everything needed: a TV, plenty of lighting, mirrors, a hairdryer, and plugs in the right spots, plus a sweet bonus of chocolate, fresh milk, and water. The aesthetic and colour coordination are great, with plenty of cushions. The bathroom is a decent size with good toiletries, a nice shower, and soft towels. The downstairs food and drinks are fabulous, and Sarah is an absolute asset to the business. The market square is lovely and traditional, though the view onto a cluttered roof slightly spoiled it, and a nice garden lies beyond. A squeaky floor in the room can’t be helped much because the building is old.
