The place was beautiful, the staff were friendly and helpful. It wasn’t fully finished and the location could have been better.

The room had a nice style. There was no air conditioning, towels weren’t changed unless you stayed at least five nights, and the shower hardly produced water.

I liked the location and the rooms’ décor was pretty, plus it was sustainable and the terraces were lovely. What I didn’t like was the lack of air conditioning, no traveler assistance, and no coffee in the room—small issues though.

I only planned one night in Puerto Escondido but stayed a second because I loved Casa Semantika so much. The comfort was spectacular, with luxury in every detail: lighting, finishes, and the terrace. It was a great price, worth it all. The location was amazing, just a few minutes’ walk to cafés, the beach, and the buzz of Punta Zicatela. Morgan, the host, was very available and friendly. The only suggestion is that, given the space they have, it would be nice to have some tables and chairs outside.
