The hotel turned out to be terrible; when we arrived to check in we were told that the reservation we had prepaid a month earlier had been cancelled, the rooms were dirty, smelled bad and were a mess, and they never refunded the money or offered any alternative accommodation, nor did they inform us in time.

We messed up the booking, wanted to stay in central Venice but ended up here, and we really liked it; the village is great, the people are wonderful, and the hotel staff and shop team were always ready to help.
