The location was perfect for our next destination, but the rooms felt very outdated. The dining area staff were incredibly nice, yet the room itself didn’t have much appeal.

This spot on Trout Lake is a true gem! The owner greeted us warmly and the property itself is stunning. We only stayed one night, but we’re eager to return and explore everything it offers.

Owners Jim and Carol are fantastic and extremely accommodating. The renovated lodge is well equipped, immaculately clean, and utterly charming. The neighboring motel—where we stayed—has true mid‑century décor, feels like a step back in time, and is very clean and comfortable. The grounds, lake vistas, private sandy beach, kayaks, indoor/outdoor games, and the endless list of amenities keep you busy or relaxed as you wish. Don’t forget the lovely complimentary breakfast and the lodge’s stellar lounge, which serves a wide array of great cocktails if you’re up for it.

Stunning—like stepping back in time. The bed was a touch firm for us.
