Corner Delight at Onrust Beach

“An excellent way to start your summer festive season”

It was the friendliness of staff. The checking in nearer to the date of my holiday and the before hand information pertaining to the property. Where to find the key, how the alarm work, wifi password etc that was amazing service to start off with. The friendliness of the staff receiving us and being available to come back should we need any guidance. The fully fitted kitchen with all quality appliances, the standard of bedding, the qualify and amount of detergents available to manage hygiene throughout the weekend was a plus. The branded soap, shower wash, hand soap and hand wash was an extra and not expected. It was really an hotel hospitality service received. The well maintained property added to the relaxing moments. It was truly a accommodation for all types of groups. Being a family with children or couples, it was amazing. Thank you for making our weekend away a memorable time. To be honest, I will have to lie if I mention i found fault with the accommodation

The downstairs facilities were more spacious than expected, and there was a great pool. The bedroom layout wasn’t what I anticipated: the two best rooms upstairs were interconnected, making them suitable only for a family group, not for two separate groups of friends. It would help if this was explained in the description. Downstairs there are three bedrooms: one very small, another slightly larger but both share a bathroom, and the third is the biggest with en‑suite facilities. The property is well equipped and features a lovely braai area and sitting area both inside and out.

“absolutey pefect stop and houise so well equipped with everything did not lack anything except the”

The location could not have been better. The only issue was that I just needed a light by the outside braai to see at night while grilling.

“Frustrating!! And not acceptable considering the cost of our stay!!”

The location is very good, close to the beach and swimming areas. The home is comfortable and spacious with good beds and bedding. We enjoyed the garden and swimming pool area. The Whale Coast Mall and Hermanus are a short drive away, and there are 3‑4 good restaurants in Onrus. The management team were excellent, friendly, and helpful. The owners stay in a unit next door and at times felt intrusive, having access to all guest spaces. There was no backup power, so when a two‑day power cut occurred (not load shedding) we had no lighting or hot water, and the emergency torches were missing on the first night, forcing us to use candles. We couldn’t access wifi, which prevented work, banking, and contact with family—an unsatisfactory experience. We could only charge one phone in our car while it was parked in the driveway.

“Well maintained and equipped place, perfectly situated for easy access to beach and Hermanus shops.”

The space was very large and had everything needed for a stay. It’s central to the beach and Hermanus centre, and also offers a pool, Dstv, and Netflix. Nothing negative.
