The room was clean and the staff were friendly, but the accommodation was completely worn out, with an ancient, stained carpet in both the rooms and the corridor that made me wonder what might be crawling underneath. I asked for an allergy‑friendly room but none were available, and switching to a carpet‑free room would have cost an extra €60 per night—hardly worth it for a two‑night stay. The balcony door was so old it barely worked, leaving us worried it might detach from its hinges. We even counted 35 flies buzzing around the ceiling of our room. It’s clear the hotel has stopped investing in upkeep; even the burnt‑out bulbs in the dining area haven’t been replaced. A shame, but overbooked rooms tend to be cheap.

We enjoyed the hotel from start to finish; the lobby alone left us amazed with its stunning design. The restaurant was excellent and visually striking, and we were consistently satisfied with what we found there. The only drawback, and a high‑level gripe, was that for four people there was barely any space to hang wet items after the spa, so a simple drying rack would have been helpful.
