The stay was okay.
“Peregrina muy contentas”
I can’t even begin to list everything we liked: it’s close to the supermarket, restaurants, and the host is delightful and helpful with everything. The rooms are large and comfortable, the bathrooms are spectacular and hyper‑clean, and there’s a common lounge with a fridge where you can stash anything and nobody touches it. They also offer coffee, tea, fruit, milk, and everything you need to make life easier for anyone staying there. I definitely recommend it, especially if you’re a pilgrim like me, and the air conditioning was fantastic for the heat wave.
“A pleasant hotel, once you manage to get inside”
The hotel itself is pleasant. A large lounge with free tea and coffee, a basket of apples, a big fridge and a microwave. The rooms are pleasant too, the air conditioning is modern and quiet, the beds are good. Despite the outlook, the room is quiet. The receptionist, once he finally appeared, was positive and friendly. A peculiar kind of hospitality at check-in. The window is very narrow, 14:30 to 18:00, which we worked around and arrived at 15:30. A handsome reception area behind glass and not a soul in it. We messaged through Booking, silence. We messaged on WhatsApp, silence. We called on WhatsApp, silence. The receptionist turned up forty minutes later. Asked why the door PIN could not be given out in advance, he explained that his manager watches the camera and it would land him in trouble. So you walk thirty kilometres on the Camino and cannot get inside. I did not need the room early, I needed a lobby where I could drink some water and put my pack down instead of standing outside in 33 degrees. Smaller points. A good number of the apples in the basket should have been thrown out long ago. The kitchen has one wooden board that smells unpleasant and a single knife. The room had a sickly smell, and the window looks out onto what is effectively a rubbish dump. There are sockets by only one of the beds. The floor in the room is unpleasant underfoot: you step out of the shower with wet feet and it feels as though cleaning product has been left on it. The bathroom is nice, but for some reason it is not fully partitioned off from the room, so switching on its light at night lights up the whole room
“Unpleasant stay.”
We booked eight rooms, but three of them had air conditioners that weren't working. The technician didn't answer calls and only responded after we complained for two hours, which was very rude. The issues were mainly because the hotel was cutting electricity. On the plus side, the location is good.
The accommodation is modern, comfortable, and well‑located. A small kitchen is available, with a fridge, water heater, and coffee machine. Throughout the day they provide free coffee, tea, cookies, and apples.
