The staff helped move my suitcase up a sudden staircase to a second‑floor room. The floor’s cushioned carpet was sticky and hadn’t been cleaned well; the bath towel was used or smelled bad, and overall the place lacked a sense of cleanliness.

Checking in was easy with the unmanned desk, and the apartment‑style room was big enough for sleeping. The room and futon seemed clean. The bath, probably old, was noticeably dirty, had no tub—just a shower—and the towel pole’s metal fittings were loose and fell off with a touch. It feels better to go to a hot‑spring or public bath.

The sleeping area was adequately spacious, giving better rest than the free‑sleeping big business hotels. The only downside was the lack of a bathtub in the bathroom; otherwise, the good sleep made up for it.

The moment I stepped into the room, a strong odor of drainage or mold hit my nose, making it hard to breathe. The shower area looked like a plain entrance, with a rough floor and a pair of dedicated sandals placed there. The shower handle was rusted, one side was missing and hadn’t been repaired, and the door wouldn’t close. The pictures online were far from reality, which was shocking for my first time staying in a private lodging. I had planned a three‑night stay, but booked another hotel that same day and left the room the next morning, not even using the shower. I’m done with private rentals.

Conveniently located near a convenience store, the bathroom was a nightmare. The toilet seat was misaligned, the shower room was dirty, and overall it was uncomfortable. I couldn’t avoid showering because it was hot and I sweated a lot, and I used the toilet frequently while eating a lot on the trip, so if they improved that area it would be great.
