The restaurant and bar staff were excellent; Julia was exceptional, remembered us each day, and was genuinely interested. We ate breakfast and dinner there and the food was exceptional. The bathroom plumbing could have been better.

The location is ideal, right in the center of Bamburgh, and the hotel has its own secure car park just a few hundred yards away. The staff are welcoming and approachable, especially the restaurant waiters. The hotel is dog‑friendly, which we needed. The main public areas are beautifully and tastefully decorated with lots of artwork and quirky lighting. It is expensive, but that’s the price for the location, and we felt it was worth it for a memorable stay in a beautiful part of Northumberland. There is no lift, so my friend with mobility issues found it hard to reach the top floor; there is a ground‑floor room that’s wheelchair accessible with a disabled toilet, but we didn’t know about it and would have booked it otherwise. The rooms we got had lovely ensuite showers, but the bedrooms needed a facelift; the carpets were stained and the paintwork, especially the skirting boards, was scuffed, dirty, and chipped.

The hotel was lovely, incredibly clean, and the staff were very pleasant. The location was beautiful and perfect for a restful weekend, so I would highly recommend both the hotel and its surroundings. Nothing negative.

The room was very nicely presented, spacious, and decorated with a modern boutique feel. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The staff were professional, friendly, approachable, and really enhanced the enjoyment of the stay. Parking was nearby and easily accessible but would benefit from a little brighter lighting.
