The reception, restaurant and bar were the only positives; everything else was very basic, very old‑fashioned and not really clean.

The restaurant and the view from the Main Lodge were very good; dinner and breakfast were excellent; the reception and restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful; however, the cabin was too small for three people with luggage, a window was broken and could not be repaired during our 3‑night stay, the fridge was very loud, the toilet flush either ran continuously or sometimes not at all, a renovation is apparently planned for November 2026, and it’s 40 minutes from Jasper.

The location, the beautiful view and the fireplace were all positives, but there was no elevator, our room in the lodge was above the outside seating of the dining room so the balcony offered no privacy, and it was hard to regulate the temperature in the room.

“Beautiful air, beautiful location, beautiful scenery and beautifully peaceful.”

The location was fantastic, I enjoyed sipping coffee on the front porch in the late afternoon, and having a kitchen meant we could eat whenever we wanted; the only issue was the absence of a kettle to boil water.

“Book it in!”

The beautiful location 30 minutes outside of Jasper, the newly renovated rooms that were warm and cosy, the stunning views and the fantastic restaurant were all highlights; the only regret was that I wish I could have stayed longer.
