“Charmantes Hotel ohne Massentourismus”

A stylish, smaller hotel close to the beach, a bit old‑fashioned in a good way, so it tends to attract older guests. Some things are a bit dated, but that doesn’t bother us (fixtures, tiles…). The pool is nice, the art collection is great and the lounge is cozy. Unfortunately it’s not wheelchair accessible and has no lift.

Breakfasts are excellent, the room service is flawless and the menus change daily. The cuisine is superb. However, according to the person at reception, the welcome can be terrible. I’ll explain: on weekends, the night‑shift staff is very unpleasant and treats guests like they’re nothing. If you’re lucky enough to meet the two young men who take turns at reception, it’ll be perfect. Otherwise, expect the worst! For example, on the morning of 2/10 we checked our bags and were welcomed warmly, but when we tried to move into our rooms around 19:30, the night‑shift staff tried to stop us from placing our luggage in the rooms because we were going to dine too late and would disturb the restaurant service! We held our ground and were able to dine without issues. He was nasty every evening he was present!

“I think this place really needs a huge upgrade.once done it could an excellent Hotel.”

Location, day time reception staff and dining room staff were excellent. Food was really very nice. Evening Reception staff grumpy. Outdoor Pool freezing cold, unable to gain access to the indoor one. ( maybe a seasonal thing )
