“Unterkunft mit Kompromissen”
The room was clean, newly furnished, and the bed was comfortable. The Hotel Bettstadl is a separate building run by the neighboring Hotel Meridian, so the reception is actually in the Meridian. It sits right in a business area. Outdoor bike racks exist, but they don’t appeal much to touring cyclists. Because the building enforces a smoking ban, the noisy, phone‑talking neighbors used the terrace, so I couldn’t open my window and the quiet was far from ideal. The shared indoor space also smelled of smoke because the windows were open.
