I didn’t like anything about this place, it was a horrible experience; I booked for four days but only stayed one night, the hygiene was bad, I didn’t feel safe because you could see a hooker around, and she was just hitting on the guests.

The location is good, close to the metro and the bay. The hotel sits on a not very nice street, the staff are terrible, there’s a grumpy guy at breakfast who keeps scolding you, the front desk staff are bad, we left a bag of clothes we bought outside and when we picked it up the guy didn’t even want to fetch it; we had to talk to someone else to get our stuff back. The sheets on both beds were dirty with food stains. The luggage staff were also very unfriendly. Breakfast was poor, not bad but poor. Around 5‑6 am two women were yelling in the hallway; a man came out of his room to calm them down but they didn’t stop. I had to speak to reception and they sent security, yet they still didn’t stop.

The location was great, the staff were helpful, and even though the hotel is in the middle of a meat and fish market it was good. The rooms were large and had all the necessary items, and it was close to many restaurants and shops, so overall it was a good experience. We arrived early and the person at the counter said the room would take a few hours to prepare and asked us to wait. After a while the duty schedule changed and a new staff took over. I asked the new person about our room; he said “You’re waiting for your room?” and then immediately handed us the key. I don’t understand why the previous person had told us to wait for “a few hours”.

For HK the room size is definitely on the larger side, because the building is a bit dated. It’s clean, the location is great and pretty good. The hotel is in front of or near a wet street market, so you may have to walk past some fishy‑smelling streets if you’re strolling around. All in all it’s great value for money. The lobby smells like mould, and the room décor is a bit outdated and could use a refresh.

Laundry, comfort, close to metro and bus. The street smelled bad and it was very crowded.
