A rustic spot that’s perfect for breaking up a trip; the room was roomy, the staff friendly, and the on‑site hotel excellent, with lovely scenery. The closest town has few shops, so it’s best to buy what you need before you arrive.

The place was perfectly situated, quiet and peaceful. Unfortunately, there’s no backup power if Eskom cuts the electricity.

My recent stay at this charming hotel was a lovely experience, with many highlights to mention. The pub on arrival offered excellent food and service, and the delicious coffee in the morning was a welcome treat. The peaceful atmosphere created by the river running at the bottom of the property was truly idyllic, making it the perfect retreat. However, I did notice that the wooden stairs leading to the rooms were a bit rickety and may require some maintenance soon.

Unfortunately, my stay at this hotel was a disaster, as no one was present to greet us upon arrival. Thankfully, we found refuge at another guesthouse, where we were warmly welcomed and received excellent service. I would highly recommend this alternative accommodation over the one we initially booked, which seemed to be lacking in hospitality and basic amenities.
