The staff were great, but the breakfast was almost nonexistent, the bathroom lighting was awful, the room's AC was broken, the fitness room had no AC, and the whole building felt very warm.
Location. The front desk staff was rude and not helpful. We arrived early and the room wasn’t yet ready so we asked to use the restroom. We were told there was only 1 lobby restroom and we would have to wait for the key so we did. After waiting over 10 minutes and asking again, we were still told that there was only one lobby bathroom and it was still occupied. The front desk person then proceeded to give the bathroom key to the next girl who asked for it after another 5 min of us waiting. The fact that there is only 1 restroom is diabolical but then giving the key to someone who clearly arrived after us while we were sitting right in front of the front desk waiting is wild. There is also no early check in and parking is $70. Why am I expected to pay to park my car after I’m already paying for a room and not even at the location 24 hours. I would not recommend this hotel. There are plenty others in Gaslamp that would have been much better
“Great for a baseball game trip.”
The location was great for Petco Park and the Sea Port, but the “grab‑and‑go” breakfast was advertised as available, only to be told later that it was only for purchase besides coffee.
The location was good, but the room was very small.
The receptionist was absolutely fantastic at check‑in, super nice, and really went above and beyond—though I can't remember his name.
