I spent five days on Rann Island, choosing a quiet place to relax, and it lived up to my expectations. The rooms were always spotless, and the staff were genuinely kind. English was limited, but a translator app made communication fine. The breakfast left a lasting impression: the first morning I ate a lot and felt bad about leftovers, so I pushed myself to finish everything, and the next day the portions doubled (laughs). When I said “just toast,” they served plenty of toast, and even when I said I didn’t need breakfast, they still prepared it. Their effort to feed me was oddly kind. Renting a bike from the hotel for island travel was convenient, though the path to the beach is steep, so be careful. For Thong Lang Beach, it’s better to walk from Tawaen Beach instead of biking directly. Thong Lang Beach is quiet and truly relaxing. On the last day, I had a large suitcase, so I asked the staff to take it to the ferry terminal, and they did it free of charge. We took a photo together before saying goodbye. I spent time reading by the sea, swimming, doing a digital detox, and swimming again. Time seemed to flow slowly, making for a luxurious five days. The hotel gently supported that time, and I’m reluctant to tell anyone about it. If the yen were a bit stronger, I’d come every year. Thank you for the five days.
