It’s in the city center.
“Hotel carino, ottimo come appoggio e in zona molto ben servita”
The location is great because it’s in a well‑served area and close to the metro stop that goes to the station. It’s a short walk from the center and surrounded by bars and restaurants. We arrived in Catania in the middle of the night and the self‑check‑in let us access the room easily. It’s in an old building; the room had a beautiful high ceiling, a decorated ceiling, and a small balcony. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room wasn’t spotless.

The location was super convenient, close to the main roads and perfect for catching a concert and heading out the next day. The entrance looked nice and was great for photos. From room 107, even though there’s a nightclub below the B&B, the music didn’t bother us and we slept soundly. The sheets and towels were clean and the air‑conditioning worked fine. On the flip side, it was one of the worst B&B experiences I’ve had with a friend. We had read some bad reviews, but never expected a place in such a state. The bathroom was the biggest let‑down: the shower tray was covered in stains, there was mildew inside the shower, and the shower head and some fixtures were obviously worn out. We also found dust and hair, and before we even used it we had to clean the bathroom ourselves, which we think should never happen in a lodging. The photos we attached show exactly what we found. The room itself had several signs of wear: the bed was damaged on the sides, the balcony looked neglected, and the windows were very old. Overall, the environment didn’t feel safe, and neither my friend nor I ever felt completely at ease. Because of that, I wouldn’t recommend this place to solo female travelers. It felt poorly maintained and unsettling. I also wouldn’t say it’s suitable for families with kids. The surrounding area added to that vibe; the small park below was tidy, but during our stay we saw several visibly drunk people lying on the benches, which made us uncomfortable about returning to the property. Even though there’s a nightclub below, we didn’t hear any noise from room 107 at night, but its presence combined with the condition of the building and the area made us feel the place wasn’t ideal for solo or family travelers.
