“Do not stay here, it’s gross.”

The staff was friendly, yet the place was not clean—people were having a loud party in the lobby with lots of alcohol, the fridge didn’t work, the room smelled mildewy, and there were wads of hair on the floor, bed, and bathtub; no toilet paper, trash behind the dresser, and the flooring was literally not connected, only covered by a rug. I left shortly after check‑in and didn’t stay.

The sheets were dirty, the room wasn’t fully cleaned, there was a dirty washcloth in the bathroom, the toilet was clogged, the bathroom door was damaged and seemed eaten by termites, the floors were sticky, and the room smelled like cigarettes.

“Cleanliness and Security Concerns”

The location was close to UF, but the exterior doors that supposedly required a room key for entry did not latch properly, which was concerning from a security standpoint. The room smelled strongly of mildew, and there was a used washcloth left in the shower. Overall, the cleanliness and security issues made for a disappointing stay.

“Exhausting and not worth it.”

I requested a handicap room on the first floor for my daughter who needs oxygen and is there for a lung transplant evaluation, but the elevator didn’t work and they put us on the third floor. They claimed no rooms were available on the first or second floors, even though not many people were staying at the hotel. The rooms were very small, the beds uncomfortable, and it seemed like the staff lived there with all their friends and family.

The elevator was out of order and there were no paper towels in the lobby bathroom, which was disappointing.
