We absolutely loved Auberge Hiribarren. The room was really comfortable, good bed!! The eclectic decor is beautiful and the location in the center of a lovely little village with their terrasse serving as a get together for the village population is very warm, lively and welcoming. The Inn is located so close to many hiking trails. The restaurant’s food was really good. We had dinner and breakfast and both were delicious. This is exactly the kind of true French experience I am looking for when I travel and it’s unfortunately hard to find

An absolutely fabulous treasure: a small, elegant hotel tastefully furnished with original vintage pieces. The evening meal was outstanding, featuring a concise menu of fresh local produce cooked and presented to the highest standard. We travel from the UK to Portugal regularly, so we’ll definitely return.

The stay was fantastic. The room is very well arranged and decorated in a Basque style. The breakfast and restaurant are excellent and very generous. The owner is very friendly and attentive to guests. The inn is recommended and ideally located.
