“Wspomnienie dzieciństwa na wsi”
I chose the farm in Dzięgielów to let my kids dive deeper into Polish culture and language (we live in Germany, I was in Poland about six years ago). We arrived by door‑to‑door bus. Our room with a bathroom and loft was very cozy. The kitchen, dining area with toys for children, sofas on the terrace, and fire pit are shared by all guests. On the first day we met a friendly family in the kitchen who immediately invited us to breakfast, even though we didn’t know each other. In the following days we cooked meals together with another family we met there, chatting while we cooked, and we also rode to the sheep together and made fires with the host. We were also on a “cheers” with others, which was fine. On the yard the animals waited for us: sea pigs – large and small, a rabbit, dogs, a donkey, and a few sheep. The rest of the sheep grazed in the meadow behind the forest. We gathered grass for the animals every day; the kids loved feeding and petting them. We could also pick fruit in the orchard: raspberries, blueberries, apples, and excellent grapes. Other attractions: pool, trampoline, zip line, swing, carousel, table tennis, goal and balls, badminton. Host Karol was very friendly, greeted us daily, happily talked about the animals, and gave plenty of chances to help him with them. We rode the tractor with Karol to the sheep – it was a huge fun for the kids and one of our best memories, like my childhood on the farm. Pity Krysia and Ania were also with us sometimes. An unforgettable moment was moving the sheep from the grazing meadow to fresh grass at sunset: 600 sheep ran together, loudly bleating toward fresh grass – the energy was simply unstoppable! We also recommend trips to Cieszyn. Thanks and best wishes! (Organizational info: Grocery store: 8 min. (on foot) Bus stop to Cieszyn: 4 min. Bazanowice train station: 25 min. Playground: 4 min.) The only drawback was our loft bedroom – it was hot there. The air‑conditioner worked, but I wouldn’t run it all night because the kids could catch a cold. A mosquito net on the roof window would have helped; then I could ventilate the room or sleep with the window open without fearing bites.
“Wzór agroturystyki”
Well‑furnished functional rooms, comfortable beds, air‑conditioning, a well‑equipped kitchen, a dining area with a kids’ corner. Around the house you can access ping‑pong, a garden pool, a mini zip line, a swing, a trampoline, and most importantly for agrotourism – the chance to observe, interact with, and feed the animals (sheep, donkey, rabbit, sea pigs, chickens). The owners are very friendly. The area is beautiful, quiet, and peaceful. Even the mess in the garden (due to renovation work, for which the owner apologized) reminded me positively of the clutter in the enclosure I remember from my grandparents’ childhood – it simply enchanted me.
The shower stall leaked more, but otherwise it was great.
“Bardzo fajne miejsce.”
Wonderful space for kids, especially those who love adventure and nature.
“Polecam osobom, które lubią kontakt z przyrodą i klimat wakacji u babci na wsi.”
Great communication with the owner, a fully equipped kitchen, and a spotless room; mosquito nets on the windows would still be a nice addition.
