The rooms were huge and set up for comfort, the beds extremely comfy, everything spotless, and with the windows shut the rooms stayed quiet. When we arrived at 14:50 on Friday the hotel was locked, no one answered the door or our knocks, so we stood in the rain for 20 minutes; the phone only reached voicemail, and it seemed only one staff member was present, speaking just English, Czech or Polish. The shower hose leaked and the curtain fell out of its track the first time we opened it. Breakfast offered three types of sausage, two kinds of cheese, cream cheese, Nutella, jam, boiled eggs, cucumbers, tomatoes, yogurt and muesli – that was it. On the first morning the coffee was gone and we had to hunt down staff; there were no egg cups. The second morning at least coffee was plentiful and someone was regularly on duty. For €155 per night we’ve experienced far better lodging elsewhere.
