The breakfast is exceptionally good, prepared by cooks who change recipes daily to let us taste Keralan dishes. We spent three weeks touring South India and stayed in much more prestigious places with better facilities than this one. Yet the rates at Ayur Villa are the highest of our Indian trip (>Taj or Leela!). The services here do not match the prices: no fridge, no TV, an old hair dryer, an unclean bathroom, questionable electrical installation. The fan only works at high speed, generating too much noise; the AC constantly makes a motor sound. Rest is impossible: constant noise from two construction sites from 6:00 to 22:00. The pool cannot be used; it’s shaded and only fits two loungers (we were three) and is surrounded by construction and temple speakers. We spent two sleepless nights here before fleeing, because we were supposed to stay five nights. We finished our stay at SUNSET on Light House beach for 45 €/night/room: panoramic ocean view, a dream, and a very friendly hotel team.
