The friendliness of Don Patricio and Don Iván made my visit memorable, and the location was excellent. However, they market it as a hotel while the facilities clearly label it a hostel, and when I booked I wasn’t told that payment could only be made in cash; they don’t accept cards, and that should be made clear at the time of booking.

I stayed at a small hostel run by three people, kept clean and tidy, and the staff were attentive, ready to give me tips on nearby sights – all good. The breakfast had to be taken outside the hotel, which was inconvenient.

The historic‑center location offers a nice view. The smoke detectors were low on batteries and they didn’t replace them, so they beeped the whole time. One staff member accused me of having a second person in the room because I used the other bed to store luggage and clothes; he should have checked CCTV instead. Breakfast was a block away and you need a ticket from the staff to access it.

I had a frustrating experience with this hotel, as I was overcharged for my stay and the staff refused to provide a receipt to justify the extra charges. As a result, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
