How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The pub looked nice and the bed was comfortable, but the rooms were small and if you stay above the pub you’ll notice beams in the room—bad if you’re tall; also the road can be busy, so keeping the window open at night will be noisy, and the room cost seemed too high for what you get.

Breakfast and facilities were fine, but there was constant noise 24/7 from the air‑conditioning plant, measured at 52 dB, right near the window of the second bedroom, making it impossible to sleep—really not good at all.

A warm welcome greeted me, and the room was amazing with everything I could need, a large bathroom, and excellent pillows and mattress that gave me great sleep. The hot breakfast was good, but there were no pastries or hash browns, and the table looked dull and could use some flair. A lady in a vest top, leggings, and knee supports fussed around, which didn’t look great, especially since the premises, especially the Hardwick room, were otherwise well presented.

The accommodation was very beautiful, the room was very clean, large, with plenty of storage and a wardrobe, the bathroom was modern, clean, and very spacious, it was dog‑friendly, the staff were helpful, the dinner was excellent, and the outdoor area and garden had various seating areas. The windows in the room opened very little and were fitted with a safety latch; the room was extremely warm upon arrival and the fan didn’t provide much cooling when outside temperatures were over 30 °C, but the bathroom window could be opened a bit more. Air conditioning would be great. The garden benches were a bit worn and should be replaced, and the garden area could be made a bit more decorative, as the rest of the house is very nice and appealing.

The room suited two people perfectly—clean, comfortable, and quiet—with great in‑room amenities that made for a nice night. The pub’s food was also delicious, and there was nothing to complain about, making it ideal for a weekend break.
