The staff were friendly and breakfast plentiful, the hotel clean and well-kept with air‑conditioned entrance and corridors; our room was tidy and the housekeeping thorough, and the view of the Grand Canal was lovely. Its location is excellent for sightseeing and early flights, so I would recommend it on those grounds. However, the room did not match my reservation: I travelled with my 13‑year‑old son and had booked two single beds, but we could not change rooms during our stay. Contrary to the website description, the room had no air‑conditioning, and I could not find the TV remote or a way to turn the TV on, still searching for the outlet. After reporting this to reception, no solution was offered. The listed address and hotel name were incorrect, and we encountered some tourists who were helpful.

Because the flight on the 2nd was cancelled, I tried to cancel my reservation but didn’t get a reply; I sent an email but was ignored. The room, bed and adaptation were unsatisfactory.

I couldn’t even visit the site a few days before; they cancelled my reservation without any apparent reason or logic, which felt rude and they denied any refund or compensation. Booking’s response as an intermediary was that they’d contacted the hotel and nothing could be done. It left a lot to be desired.
