The location is great, the rooms are unique, and the experience just outside Harlingen was nice. Nothing negative.

We got a large room, a free upgrade to the Johan Cruijff suite, and a very nice modern bathroom. The young manager welcomed us warmly. Breakfast was delivered by a caterer and we could use the kitchen and small bar. The front garden and terrace need maintenance; there were various items left outside the building that looked messy, and the plant pots and statues were poorly maintained.
Former farm converted into a very modern, spacious, and beautiful place with a fridge, coffee machine, kettle, and a modern‑designed bathroom. The outdoor area is lovely, located on a slope with seating right by the water. The value for money is top! We’ll definitely come back!!!
“Eine außergewöhnliche Unterkunft”
We stayed overnight in the Harlingen Staete B&B Boutique Hotel during a Friesland bike tour; the place is a converted Frisian stelpboerderij (Stjelp)-barn. The rooms are named after famous figures like Nelson Mandela, Johan Cruyff, and in our case Albert Einstein. Our room was spacious and cozy, making us feel very comfortable. The breakfast we ordered arrived at 9:00 am from a caterer and was perfectly fine. We could eat it either in the room or in the bar area on the first floor. Our e‑bikes were safely stored in a separate container, though we had to charge the batteries in the room, which was no issue. Because the hotel is a bit outside the town and restaurants aren't nearby, we quickly ordered pizza from a taxi. Communication with Denise and Thymen during booking was smooth, and we met Thymen in person at the hotel, who gave us useful tips about the place. Thanks again to both of them!
