I rarely write reviews, but the service here blew me away for the price and setup. The host was thoughtful, friendly, helpful, warm—everything. I’d love to stay a few more days. The place was comfy, quiet, very clean, and a good size. It’s by far the best value‑for‑money stay I’ve had in Japan; they should probably raise the rate!

The property sits in a quiet neighborhood with an old, beautiful garden at the back. The cleanliness exceeded our expectations. The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and you can see he takes great care of the place—he cleans daily and keeps all facilities in perfect shape. The bedroom has shutters that block all light, ideal for people who struggle to sleep. The only downside is that it’s a bit far from Kyoto Station, about 10 minutes by car or taxi.

The owner’s meticulous care was wonderful, and the attention to detail in the facilities was flawless. Everything from the microwave, fridge, washing machine, to the kettle was provided. I could relax in the tatami room, and the TV offered Netflix and other shows. A nearby supermarket and convenience store made things very convenient. I’d stay here again next time I’m in Kyoto.

I stayed at 阿美弥 three years ago with friends and it was exceptional. This time I came with a friend from NYC and I wanted to share the amazing experience with my best friend. We loved the authentic rooms and traditional furniture. The garden view gave us a peaceful break amid the city. My friend discovered how much she enjoys Japanese baths when she stayed here.
