“Fine hotel”
I had a flawless experience: the bed was super comfy, the shower was top‑class, breakfast offered a wide variety, and the staff were incredibly helpful. Nothing fell short.

Stirk House Hotel, a 16th‑century manor in Gisburn, overlooks the Ribble Valley and offers panoramic views of Pendle Hill, the Forest of Bowland, and the Yorkshire Dales. Its 33 rooms blend historic charm—stone‑arched fireplace, original ceilings, priest hole—with modern comforts and tea/coffee facilities. The on‑site Seasons Restaurant serves locally sourced, foraged ingredients. Nearby attractions include Clitheroe Castle, golf, fishing, and hot‑air ballooning.

The room was amazing, complete with a charming sitting area, a very comfortable bed, and a roll‑top bath that worked well. No complaints.

Food was excellent, the setting was lovely with nature walks and gardens nearby, and the lodge room gave beautiful views over the gardens. Everything was spot‑on.
