The staff were incredibly friendly, looking after our four‑year‑old and helping my wife navigate her food restrictions as best they could. The setting is all wilderness, so we didn’t mind the lack of a hot shower – the vibe more than made up for it.

We loved catching the sunset from the airy rooms and appreciated the cheap rates, plus the easy access to the south‑bound coastal path. On the downside, the beach is steep, the waves are too big to swim and you have to trek about 15 minutes north to reach it; the rooms feel a bit flimsy, though the neighbourhood feels safe and you can leave valuables at reception. Food prices are on the high side.

“Absolutely loved Life for Life. I would stay again”

The location is a bit out of the way, which I actually enjoyed – it’s secluded, gorgeous, and surrounded by plenty of trails to explore the beach and jungle. The only thing that could be better is a bit more cleaning in the shared kitchen and dining areas.

“Un paradiso come pochi”

This place feels magical, right by the sea and set in lush greenery, offering a peaceful retreat and easy access to simple coastal treks. My bungalow was huge, spotless, and fully equipped; the staff, especially Rodriguez, were always around, helping with luggage, boat trips, and anything else we needed. Breakfast was outstanding (the gallo pinto was a highlight) and the restaurant staff, chef, and pastry chef all did a great job. I couldn’t find any downside – everything we wanted was there.
