“An Exceptional Stay Overlooking the Magnificent Ngorongoro Crater”
Our two‑night stay at Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge was a highlight of our trip to Tanzania. Its position on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater is truly remarkable, giving breathtaking panoramic views and a special atmosphere. The lodge’s unique architecture blends nicely with the surroundings, and our room was comfortable, quiet, and positioned to enjoy the scenery. The common areas were warm and welcoming, especially in the evenings after returning from the crater. The staff were friendly, professional, and attentive throughout. The meals were good and varied, and overall service was well organized. However, the lodge felt heavily overpriced for the standard and services offered. The road to and from the lodge was extremely rough and uncomfortable. I was also surprised that, even though we were on a full‑board plan, I had to pay extra for a simple espresso at breakfast. Given the already high room rate, that policy felt unreasonable and disappointing.
