Hanoi Backpackers Hostel & Rooftop bar

When I arrived I was given the wrong room, but after talking to reception the issue was fixed quickly and I ended up with a larger room than I expected; the staff were helpful with problems, the included breakfast was decent, and the daily water bottle refills were appreciated. On one night someone tried to unlock my door—apparently by mistake—and about 20 minutes later another person knocked on my door before realizing they were in the wrong room, which was a bit unsettling for a solo traveler.

“Would not recommend”

I’m in a hostel, but the corridors and stairwells were disgusting; I shared a private room with a friend and the air‑con didn’t work in 35‑degree heat; the staff were rude and unhelpful.

The dorm was clean with no bedbugs, but it was hot, there was no air conditioning, and the fans didn’t help; please install air conditioning in the dorm for better coolness and circulation.

“Great stay”

The rooftop is awesome and the vibe is social, so you can throw a party if you want. The beds are comfortable, and there’s good privacy plus luggage storage. The downside is sharing one shower and a separate toilet with eight other beds can feel crowded, but it was manageable.
