The location and room were good, but the front desk staff seemed not as friendly as expected.
The location is great, being by the sea makes getting around easy. The room was small, and the bathroom was even smaller.
The place is in a good spot, the room is comfy with nice beds and the breakfast is decent. The shower isn’t separated from the rest of the bathroom, there’s no curtain or anything, so everything gets wet – and the mosquito net was a bit broken.

The location is optimal, on the road that leads to Long Beach and a short walk from Coral Bay beach. The breakfast is acceptable, with a choice of savory and sweet. The staff at the beginning did not specify that room cleaning was not automatic and had to be requested, leaving the keys in a basket at reception. Still, with the price paid it is absurd that I have to request room cleaning. The room was a 4‑star, nothing special, small and not spacious, but the facilities at the perimeter are all like that; still it does not match how much we paid (a lot).

The location is perfect for enjoying the Perhentian Islands, but the cleanliness left a lot to be desired: when we arrived the blankets were stained with what looked like blood, and although staff swapped them after seeing the photos, we wondered how such obvious fluid marks were missed or ignored; the replacement blankets also had spots, albeit less alarming. Ants infested the room, crawling over every piece of furniture, walls and even the bed throughout our stay, which was horrible. I understand it’s a tropical island and can accept a rustic vibe, yet paying more than double what a luxury apartment in Kuala Lumpur with a Petronas view costs should at least guarantee an insect‑free room. The bathroom still had cobwebs, and after coming back from the sea we had to shower without a shower enclosure, leaving sand all over the floor, plus the strong smell of waste because you can’t flush toilet paper and no extra plastic bags were provided for disposal. To top it off, the Wi‑Fi never worked, so for four days we had to hunt for signal at other hotels or restaurants just to call our families.
