The proximity to the city center was fine, but it was noisy—delivery trucks started at 6:15 am right under the windows. The setup was very Spartan: a double bed with a knee‑high mattress and one chair, only a small wardrobe and TV, no place to put things, no wardrobe. The breakfast was Spartan too—no eggs, no fresh items like tomatoes or cucumbers. The mattresses were so bad that we had to use ABC patches for a week, which ruined the vacation vibe and the shared duvet was awful. There was an unpleasant smell in the stairwell near the entrance. Since the check‑in was all done alone, there was no reception to clarify things, so we wanted to leave on the second day. Staufen is a nice place to stay with many great pubs and tasty coffees.

The location was ideal. The room was acceptable. The breakfast was borderline; everything is cut back. When asked for an egg, I was told there was no kitchen available. The breakfast was very monotonous—no croissants, no cakes, no sweet items—just a bare‑bones spread. The only bright spot was the coffee machine. Our ground‑floor room overlooked about 12‑15 trash cans in the back yard. There was no fridge or coffee maker in the room.

The bed was comfortable, the room was nice, the staff were very friendly, and breakfast was tasty! The place was clean. The room was noisy; I stayed in room 12 and could hear the breakfast area and the neighboring building. I couldn’t check in because my details were entered incorrectly, so I had to wait half an hour after calling until everything worked. A small bottle of wine was offered as compensation. The shower was clogged, then it leaked and the bathroom got unintentionally wet.

Very clean rooms. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The location was excellent, very central. Unfortunately there were few storage options and no wardrobe. The bathroom lighting was too dim and could be brighter.
