The place was clean and tidy, with a nice view of Nelson Park from our room and outdoor seating for morning coffee; the separate living area made it feel quite spacious. It was a good budget motel, essentially just a place to sleep after a gathering, so we were looking for something cheap and cheerful. However, it was very cold—despite the heat pump being on when we arrived and the room feeling okay initially, we both got cold after sitting down to watch TV, so we cranked up the heat pump a bit but still couldn't get comfortable, and there were no extra blankets for the bed. I wouldn't stay here in winter again, but it would be lovely in summer.

The room was spacious, spotless and tidy, the heating felt nice, there was plenty of hot water, the Wi‑Fi signal was strong and the staff at the front desk were very friendly; it’s also just a short walk from the city centre to the beach.

This little motel was great for a night’s stay while I was in Napier for a weekend sports tournament with my son and his friend/team mate. We loved our room and the location was excellent. We can’t think of anything we didn’t like.
