“A little gem of a hotel in a great location.”
The room was great and small, within walking distance of everything needed and close to train and bus stations; the pub downstairs was traditional; nothing negative.

The staff were excellent and helpful, and the location makes it easy to catch public transport into Nottingham, but there was no chair to sit on in the bedroom.

The car park was small and busy.

The room was spacious, clean, and met all the basic needs for a short stay, and the welcome booklet offered useful tips on local dining, but the bed was uncomfortable and there was no place to hang towels except over the shower; the 24‑hour access door led down a steep outdoor staircase that might not suit everyone, the door never closed properly so security was lacking, and the old‑fashioned locks on the room doors were difficult to lock from either side.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, yet the pub below the window was extremely busy with a band playing in the marquee, creating a lot of noise; it calmed down after 11 pm but someone started moving heavy furniture at 7 am.
