“Hors du temps”
The onsen feels a bit old‑fashioned but oddly charming, the meals were excellent and the staff were attentive, though the bed felt somewhat stiff.

The inn was very comfortable, the room let me fall asleep to the sound of the waterfall, dinner was delicious, and even though I arrived late that day the hotel kindly arranged a meal for me – a truly ideal trip.

The staff were extremely friendly, the Japanese food tasty, the onsen clean, but the place urgently needs renovation; mold in the corridor gives off a musty smell.

The surroundings are lovely, the onsen great, the staff very friendly, parking is easy, but the facilities are very basic with just a kettle and a small, not‑very‑effective fridge.

It was a traditional ryokan experience, but since we didn’t opt for the food we missed out on the full experience.
