“Tutt'altro che professionale”
Absolutely nothing because of the total lack of professionalism from the property, which didn’t allow us to check‑in and left us stranded on a street in the middle of the night. Arriving in front of the property around 23:30, Ms. Cinzia (by phone) was not present at the property and told us we could not check‑in because there was no room due to a supposed error by her channel‑manager, and she didn’t feel responsible for what happened, even though she had confirmed our booking and the check‑in time between 23:00 and 24:00 as shown by the various messages exchanged on Booking’s chat. Despite knowing our booking and that she couldn’t accommodate us, she chose not to cancel, didn’t inform us, and left us on a street in the middle of the night, calling Booking’s help which obviously didn’t respond at night. According to Booking’s rules, Ms. Cinzia should have communicated the overbooking to us and to Booking immediately after receiving the booking, and with Booking’s help find an alternative, which would have prevented us from spending the night on a street because at that hour it was impossible to book another place. In this way, Ms. Cinzia, with no scruples and barely any professionalism, decided not to worry about leaving two 18‑year‑old girls alone on a street in the middle of the night and without any assistance from her or Booking, thus also avoiding the penalties Booking imposes on its partners (properties) that cancel a booking. Finally, after the booking, the property demanded, via a message on Booking’s chat, the “identification documents of all guests” by email or WhatsApp. This request is absolutely illegitimate and illegal because it is not covered by current regulations.
