Terence’s kindness stood out, but the room’s location, the way the cleaning staff handled the towels and shower mats, and the lack of hot water in the bathroom were all issues.

The pousada was amazing, just under 20 m from the sea and the best in the area; the owner was super helpful, picked us up on arrival, always ready to meet our needs, and gave us contacts for tours that leave from this beach, including mule rentals. It’s perfect for avoiding the chaos, noise, and sewage smell, and I was worried about no hot shower water, but it didn’t matter because it was so hot that a warm shower was impossible. The room was large, well-ventilated, had a balcony that dries clothes quickly, and is great for kids. Everything was perfect.
