I only stayed one night, a layover before heading from Jesselton to Gaya island, so the hotel is right by the ferry point. The room was large and clean. The breakfast could use improvement – it was very limited in Western options and had few pastries. Water isn’t in the room, but there’s a dispenser on the floor where you can fill a bottle that’s filtered.

The hotel is close to the snow removal point and Suria Sabah Mall, but the breakfast was just okay.

The transport links were great, and the mall next door let us shop until 10 pm and walk straight back to the hotel; there’s also a 24‑hour convenience store nearby, so missing souvenirs isn’t a problem. The room was huge – a super‑large double – and we could easily open three or four suitcases. The downside was the lack of a bathtub, the breakfast was rather ordinary, and the toast spread didn’t include coconut jam.
