“Functional spatial average”
Parking was easy, a short stair lift led into the foyer, but a long three‑corridor walk took me to the room. Free coffee at reception was handy for exploring the area, though the food was average and there was no draft ale.
“Average”
It was good, but beer ran out for two days and the overall quality was average.
“Adequate”
The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful, but the hotel itself looked tired and clearly needed refurbishment, and the fish and chips meal had chips that were clearly just warmed up—yuck.
Parking was fine, but the staff seemed rushed and inexperienced. I had to switch rooms because the wrong number of beds was assigned, which caused problems.
“Good apart from the stairs to the reception and your pillows are so uncomfortable”
The hotel is convenient to nearby spots, and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful—10/10 for them. However, the entrance needs urgent attention; the stairs down to reception and rooms are awful, especially for an elderly guest like me who struggled to get my luggage in, and this is the fourth time I’ve stayed here and complained about the same issue.
