The location and parking are good. Inside, there’s a strong smell, and the bathroom and room feel very dated.

The owner is very friendly and the room is very comfortable. There’s a handy kitchen area for extra drinks, a mug, etc., and high‑speed EV charging just across the road. Nothing to complain about.

The location is great for exploring that part of Wales and even for going to the Bristol area. You could walk to Tintern and other local villages and the whole Wye Valley area is on the doorstep. It is a lovely area. St Arvans is a pleasent place on the Chepstow to Monmouth road and Monmouth is worth a visit. Directions were accurate and easy as was the parking and Elizabeth contacted us to ensure all was well. We do not have breakfast but the menu looked very good and the breakfast room is clean and attractive. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean and in all the accomodation was excellent. Nothing to change or dislike. You could may far more and not get as good

Elizabeth was the perfect host from start to finish, and breakfast was beautifully presented and absolutely amazing. We didn’t find anything we didn’t like.
