The location was superb, the rooms were beautiful, and it’s the best starting point if you want to be in the park at sunrise.

The hotel was excellent, with all amenities inside the park right next to the entrance, everything organized. No air conditioning, but there were fans and mosquito nets that let you rest well. The heat is intense and humid in this part of Guatemala. The pool is beautiful and has a bar and a relaxation area after tours. The ruins are an energetic and magical place; think about watching the sunrise and sunset! Everything was excellent. They don’t have gluten‑free labeled options, but they adapt the dishes and I had no issues. Just a note for celiacs. In all of Guatemala, you’ll find corn tortillas that help a lot for those of us who miss gluten‑free bread.

The location was the main highlight. The staff were just average.

The jungle lodge is in an amazing spot, right in the middle of the jungle, the cabin is incredible, very clean, the bathroom is spacious, and we were grateful to arrive there. We also enjoyed the pool. We were missing pool chairs because we were more people sharing that space and we were fighting over the area. We didn’t eat at the restaurant again after my friend was charged for a water with a tip, and they didn’t even show her the machine to charge. This happened several times in Guatemala, but here at a better hotel, we didn’t expect the staff to act like that. At reception, the people seemed as if they were doing us a favor when attending us, which really caught my attention. In general, we received good service from other places, but here the staff would not give a good rating. Take it as continuous improvement.
