The location is good and the pool is nice, but it isn’t private and the rooms are definitely not superior. Tharindu was very helpful, yet the remote manager was ruthless. The property is shamelessly mis‑described: it says there’s a private entrance, but it’s off a shared balcony. The private bathroom is in a separate room off the kitchen further down the balcony; you have to leave the bedroom and walk along a not‑private balcony to reach it. The bedside light in the bedroom required me to figure out how to plug a 2‑pin plug into a 3‑pin socket, which seemed dangerously loose and wired poorly into the wall. The curtain in the bedroom had water stains on it. The kitchen and bathroom were filthy, smelly, and poorly equipped, even though the description says they’re well equipped. The fridge froze all my food, the hot plate plug didn’t fit the wall socket, the pan I wanted didn’t work on a convector plate, the pan that would work had a burnt bottom, and everything in the cupboards was dirty. I was given no dishwashing or drying equipment and no broom to clear all the ants. There were loads of dead ants in the fridge too. There was also a leak in the bathroom floor and a filthy bath mat, and everything was covered in calcium deposits. I can only share four photos… Such a tough call among dozens showing how bad this place is. A rat ran along outside my room the first night I went out to use the loo, and wailing cats didn’t catch it. Tharindu tried very hard to correct all the problems, but he obviously has a terrible manager to support him. I felt bad that he did so much work, so I decided to stay the rest of my three‑night booking, but the place is still horrendous. The manager offered me a 300 Rs reduction (about 75 p GBP) for this appalling place, more worried about her profit than customer experience.

The cleanest part of this place is the nice pool; the plus is access to a kitchen and plenty of space, a pleasant location, and a low price. The downside is sudden traffic jams, fewer towels than guests, a broken mattress in one of the beds, and my son was horribly bitten. Overall, the hygiene standard is low, it’s dirty, better to cover the curtains than look at moldy walls through the windows, and there’s even no trash bin!

Super host, cozy villa, closed private area, lots of greenery around, a nearby shop with everything needed! They changed everything when we asked, the pool is cleaned daily, the host turned out to be a doctor and helped us when we needed it. We had a room and our own kitchen separately; next time we want to rent the whole floor! Highly recommend.
